Battlefield 4 Removed From EA Access Following Glitch:
Battlefield 4 has been removed from the Vault of the EA Access program, following a glitch that refrained users from accessing the title.
EA Access just went live earlier this week and as it is with any new service, problems are expected. Today subscribing members of the service complained that they were unable to access Battlefield 4, even though it’s included in the Vault.
Selecting it would ask the user to purchase the game entirely.
“Do you own this game or app? If you have a game disc, insert it now. If theres is no disc make sure you are signed in to xbox live. If you do not have the rights to play it, you will need to try it or buy it at the Xbox Store. (0x87de07d1)”
According to an EA representative on Reddit, the game has been temporarily removed until a fix has been found. There was no mention of an estimated time of the fix but just the confirmation that EA is looking into the issue.
“Hey guys, Sorry about the issue with BF4, this absolutely should not be happening. We’re looking into the issue with Microsoft to find a fix. We’ll get you back into BF4 as soon as we can.”
EA Access features either $5 a month or $30 a year subscription model. Once successfully enrolled in the program, members can then access the Vault to download full versions of games included by EA.
With the removal of Battlefield 4, the Vault now has FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25, and Peggle 2. More games have been promised to be added in the near future.
