EA Access now available for Xbox One:
Subscription program out of beta, goes live with FIFA 14, Battlefield 4 and more in The Vault.
The latest subscription service to hit your Xbox One,
Without repeating ourselves too much, EA Access costs £3.99, €3.99, AU$6.99 AU and US$4.99 per month, or £19.99, €24.99, $39.99 AU and US$29.99 per year. For your money you get to raid the EA Vault, a repository of back titles that currently include FIFA 14, Battlefield 4, Madden NFL 25, and Peggle 2, and is set to grow over time. Once games are in The Vault, they stay there.
EA Access members also get to play new EA games five days before the standard release date, but for a limited time. Once the trial period runs out your game save carries over to the full game if you wish to buy it. Remember, EA Access game trials aren't the same as demos.
There's more. As a press release handily states, "Digital purchases of EA games for Xbox One, downloadable content and virtual currency made available on Xbox Live will be 10% off for EA Access members. So if you liked what you played during your early trial, you can purchase the game for your collection at a 10% discount as soon as it's released. It also means purchases of Digital Expansion Packs and Battlepacks in Battlefield or new packs in FIFA Ultimate Team are all 10% off."
What do you think? Would you pay for this and Xbox LIVE Gold? Have you already signed up?
